    Driving to Newfoundland means you'll be enjoying a 5 hour plus ferry
    ride. See Marine Atlantic for ferry services. We recommend  you book
    as early as possible to ensure the crossing you want.

    For those flying into Deer Lake, you can rent a car or take a shuttle bus
    to Rocky Harbour, our location and Gros Morne's Center. We
    recommend renting a car as the park is huge and the bus is only to
    Rocky Harbour and not around the park.

    There are five car rental outlets at the Deer Lake  Airport (Airport Code
    is YDF).  Below are the direct web addresses to all of them. Be aware
    that going through a site other than direct, may cost more:

    Booking online tends to be cheaper than by calling the outlet in Deer
    Lake. As with the ferry, booking well in advance is the only way to
    ensure you'll get what you're looking for. In the case of car rental, the
    early booking prices are drastically lower.  They must honor your
    Internet rate per day even if their system says otherwise on-site. Even
    better for you, if you book a cheap car and they are out (which happens
    on a regular basis), they must give you something more expensive at the
    cheaper rate.

    Otherwise, simply make note of the following: leave the airport and turn
    right towards Deer Lake. When you come to the overpass, take Highway
    430 North towards Rocky Harbour. It will take about an hour if you don't
    stop to look at moose or the beautiful scenery. We recommend you do
    but remember these are wild animals. Once you pass the Gros Morne
    Visitor Center, take the first left into Rocky Harbour onto West Link. It
    will bring you to Pond Road within 500 metres. Turn right and within 200
    meters, you'll see us Violet's B and B at 33 Pond road on your right. As
    most peoples don't have house numbers, just keep you eye open for our
    sign.
