Prose Poetry
for the Coming Age

An Introduction

One of the great gifts I
inherited growing up in rural
Newfoundland was the
enjoyment of hearing and
telling stories. It was the time
before cable TV when there
was no story ready made for
you to talk about and so you
had to entertain yourselves
and telling stories was how we
did that and many still do.
When you visit the area,
you'll be amazed how much
the local people like to tell
stories just by giving
them a chance.

I myself love to hear or tell a
good story and I love to write
a story or poem or two when
the muse moves me.

headings "PROSE" and
"POETRY" is a sampling of
my creative writings.  I titled
them, "Prose Poetry for the
Coming Age" because I
believe there is
a new age coming.

These poems and stories
are my offering to that new
world's arrival
where love and peace,
healing and reconciliation,
truth and justice reign.

May my whole lives be such
an offering and may glory
from on high bless us and
sustain us on our ever fragile
earthly journey.
